Observable Universe Vs Reality

People have been wondering for years what the universe we live in is really like. People have chosen two main paths to find the answer.
The first path was to discover the external reality from within. To see the world through yourself. This path is a path that goes backwards, not forwards. As a result, spirituality was born. Gurus were born. Philosophy was born. Followers followed them.
The second path was to go out and find the truth. As a result, scientists were born who sought the truth through experiments.
In my opinion, both are the same. The point of trying to find them through both paths is the same.

Let's talk today about where the second path has brought us to today. We must acknowledge that quantum science, cognitive neuroscience, and metaphysics are remarkable achievements in the amazing journey of searching for reality.

What is the universe according to metaphysics?

Isn't everything that man perceives as the universe perceived through the 5 senses?..

Man constructs the universe through the 5 main doors of the eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and body sensations. It is the brain that transforms these sensations into the sensations that man perceives.

Here, think of the world as "an observation" and you as the "observer". If you don't recognize the world as a vision, as a feeling, what is the universe?

Let's say you see something. What do you actually see? How does something look? When light rays fall on an object, it absorbs some of the light rays and emits others. Then we see the color of the emitted rays as the object. A green leaf emits green light and absorbs other wavelengths. When that green light hits our eyes, our brain sees it as green. Do you understand that the green color is not related to that leaf? That image is a creation of your brain. You will never encounter it from the outside world. The entire world you see is a creation of your own brain. You will never encounter it from the outside. If there is no seer, there is no world. The universe you see is a creation of your vision, not the real world outside.

The same thing happens when you consider hearing and other bodily sensations. The frequency of energy that you hear is heard as sound because it is translated and displayed by the brain. That is what perception is. Then the world you construct is a reflection of your brain. The fact that a universe without an observer does not exist is a quantum reality. It is a metaphysical reality.

I have encountered a similar powerful thought in the East. The great poems that build the Advaita Vedanta also express a similar concept. The Mahavakyas are "The Great Sayings" of the Upanishads, the foundational texts of Vedanta. Though there are many Mahavakyas, four of them, one from each of the four Vedas, are often mentioned as "the Mahavakyas".

The Mahavakyas are:

  1. 1. prajñānam brahma - "Consciousness is Brahman" (Aitareya Upanishad 3.3)
  2. 2. ayam ātmā brahma - "This Self (Atman) is Brahman" (Mandukya Upanishad 1.2)
  3. 3. tat tvam asi - "Thou art That" (Chandogya Upanishad 6.8.7)
  4. 4. aham brahmāsmi - "I am Brahman" (Brhadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.10)

Is there something that exists in this universe that is called as "Brahma". That Brahma is you. This universe is you. It is your reflection. It is nothing else.

Indeed, the world is only a measure of perception. When your senses are lost, there is no universe. That is the reality...
